System Failure at DTRSS Costs Govt K147 Million

Government has lost about K147 million in a period of seven days due to a system failure at the Directorate of Road Traffic and Safety Services (DTRSS), Faceofmalawi can reveal.
Minister of transport and public works Ralph Jooma has said technicians are working on the matter to fix the system.
The amount, which could have been collected had the system been working, can be used to buy 14,700 fifty kilogram bags of maize at the current market price, enough to feed 4,900 adults for one year.
