Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) is set to hold fresh demonstrations across the country from September 25 – 27, 2019 to force Malawi Electoral Commission Chairperson (MEC) Justice Jane Ansah, to resign.
HRDC Chairperson Timothy Mtambo confirmed of the development in an interview with the press today, saying the grouping will hold media briefing today.
According to Mtambo, HRDC will deliver the petition to the Electoral Commission SADC summit which has been officially opened today by the country’s Vice President Everton Chimulirenji at Mount Soche in Blantyre.
