Unconfirmed reports reaching Faceofmalawi are indicating that under-five child has died in Blantyre as the peaceful demonstrations organized by Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) turned ugly.
The child is said to have been stepped on by people who found their refuge at the hospital.
According to reports, police fired teargas around Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) premises to disperse two sides that encountered each other and were causing havoc.
Speaking under the condition of anonymity, An official from Ministry of Health Headquarters, has condemned the conduct of the police of invading the health facility and throwing teargas therein.
