The first vice president for Lions Club international Brian Shehan arrived in the country on Sunday afternoon to perform on a number of duties including inspection of projects being implemented by the Charity organizations in the country.
According to Johns Thombozi Public relations chairperson for Lions Club district 412 B which comprises of Malawi and Mozambique Shehan will also make courtesy calls to vice president Everton Chimulirenji and Lilongwe City council chief executive officer John Chome.
Thombozi said that Shehan visit to Malawi is important as it is an opportunity for the vice president to meet various stakeholders working with the organization.
‘The visit by Lions club international vice president Shehan is important as it is found in Malawi and Mozambique, this is a rare opportunity to share with the vice president on various humanitarian activities that lies in Malawi and Mozambique. The visit will also gives us the platform to share experiences on various approaches on how we can best save the communities that need our assistance,” said Thombozi.
Shehan is also expected to visit area 18 health center, Tutankanadzi school project.
Among other notable projects the club has constructed hospitals in Malawi at main referral hospitals in Malawi Blantyre, Zomba, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
