A 34-year-old woman was detained by the police officers after she had allegedly been caught with drugs in her vagina. The value of the drugs was estimated at R3.3 million.
The woman was caught at the Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport in Mauritius.
Nokuphila Mtshali was trafficking 528 grams of heroin. She had been promised R40, 000 for the delivery.
The woman reportedly cooperated with the officials in order to find the accomplices. During the investigation, the police officers arrested two Nigerian men.
