This morning students from Blantyre Secondary School went on rampage protesting against what they say “corrupt practices” by school authorities.
The students accused the school authorities of dubiously enrolling students from private and other public secondary schools.
They claim the development has affected services such as accommodation and bursary at the school.
The angry learners destroyed some properties at the school and some went further by blocking the entry to the school.
It took the intervention of the police who fired teargas at the angry students to disperse them from the scene.
Meanwhile tension is still high at the school.
