Kaphale’s house gutted down by fire in Blantyre

Fire on Sunday gutted down a house of Attorney General Kalekeni Kaphale who is also representing Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) in the ongoing Presidential election case.
Kaphale confirmed of the development in an interview, saying the fire is suspected to have emanated from a match box which one of the children was playing with.
According to Kaphale, the fire destroyed property worth millions.
It is said that fire fighters from Blantyre City Council arrived at the house which is located in Chileka Township very late.
It took the help of well-wishers who rushed to the scene to put down the fire.
Currently Kaphale is based in Lilongwe.
