Information sourced by Faceofmalawi indicates that employees of Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) are yet to receive the October salaries.

The delay of salaries comes barely months after the state-owned Company made a huge investment in transportation sector by introducing new fleet of buses.

It is said that the Company obtained a loan of MK700 million to purchase the said buses.

MPC Director of Finance and Administration Noel Fole confirmed of the delay of the October salaries in a MEMO seen by FOM’s reporter.

“Management would like to express its regret over the delay in payment of salaries for the Month of October.

“We were still hoping to pay the salaries on time, but the other sources of finance that we were counting on did not come through,” reads in part the statement.

He added: Management is looking under every stone to ensure that the salaries for the month are paid without much further delay.”
