14 students from Mzuzu University have been suspended following the role they played during illegal violent protests.
the students are also accused of threatening individual staff members.
Mzuni registrar Yonamu Ngwira confirmed the suspension of the student which he disclosed unanimously agreed at a meeting on Friday over the matter.
The college has since prohibited the suspended students from entering the university campus and participation in any university activities and functions.
The student held demonstrations against the university over the management’s decision to proceed to administer supplementary examinations.
The students were demanding the management to stop the writing of the exams because some students have not accessed their previous semester results as of yet.
