The lawyers representing President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) in the elections case have so far raised nine objections in the re-examination of Lazarus Chakwera’s witness, Daud Suleman.

One of the areas the Attorney General Kalekeni Kaphale has objected on is that the witness should not be re-examined on the issue of the ghost worker who approved results in MEC system.

Kaphale argued that he did not cross-examine the witness on the issue of the ghost worker hence, no need that the witness should be re-examined on that.

Judges have quashed Kaphale and Mbeta in many of the objections they have so far raised.

Suleman has currently gone deep explaining and demonstrating how data was allegedly manipulated in the system.

He has exposed that MEC chairperson announced results when over 4000 results sheets had not been approved.
