A Florida man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly murdering his 43-year-old girlfriend. The accused was identified as 57-year-old Warren Brown who has been charged with second-degree murder.
The Petersburg police official told media that he has also been charged with assault and aggravated domestic violence.
The deceased – Sophie Solis’s body was found in Brown’s car trunk. According to a report, the investigators in the matter claimed that Solis was not taking anyone’s calls, since Wednesday so, a concerned friend went to Solis’ St. Petersburg home to check on her. The next day her friend found her body in Brown’s car trunk. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of the home.
Cops also found the couple’s photos and blood-stained clothes in the car’s trunk. The deceased was reportedly stabbed multiple times before she succumbed. The couple had a history of domestic-violence issues said, police officials. In 2019, the officers have been called to the couple’s home for 17 times concerning domestic issues.
Brown has also served time in the Pinellas County Jail several times before- mostly for domestic-violence related offences. One day before the Solis’ body was recovered, a neighbour had called the police because Brown was making suicidal comments.
However, further probe in the matter is underway.
