The Constitutional Court has said there is nothing unusual about its yesterday unscheduled adjournment.
Yesterday, the proceedings were adjourned abruptly just after the afternoon session started.
According to lead judge Healy Potani, the adjournment has taken people an unawares and there are a lot of speculations on what may have caused the adjournment.
However, Potani said it was a necessary adjournment and those who interact with the court well know that proceedings may be adjourned at any time for the court and parties to address each other.
He added that there was nothing unusual about yesterday’s adjournment and no unusual occurrence occurred to necessity the adjournment.
