Authorities responsible for health have made a passionate call for the citizenry to take interest in going for HIV/Aids to know their status.

The appeal has come on a day the World commemorates World Aids Day.

Currently the country has in place numerous interventions towards ending the disease – a development, being seen as positive towards ending Aids.

However principle secretary in the ministry of health – Dr. Dan Namalika has urged Malawians to go for HIV/Aids testing to know their status.

According to him; doing so, would be one sure of achieving the 90:90:90 target.

The 90:90:90 strategy is an ambitious treatment target to help end the AIDS epidemic.

Ending the AIDS epidemic is more than a historic obligation to the 39 million people who have died of the disease.

It also represents a momentous opportunity to lay the foundation for a healthier, more just and equitable world for future generations.
