European Union Ambassador to Malawi Sandra Paesen has declined to comment on her immediate recall to Brussels a year after her appointment.

Paesen has been recalled to the organisation’s head office in Brussells, Belgium, barely a year after assuming her post.

According to information at hand, is accused of meddling in the country’s politics.

She has been given 7 days to leave the country.

When contacted for comment, Paesen refused to comment on the matter.

“No comment,” said Paesen.

Some months ago, Paesen took part in protests denouncing alleged abuse of women at Nsundwe, M’bwatalika and Mpingu in Lilongwe by some police officers.
