Association of Persons with Albinism in Malawi (APAM) is calling for concerted efforts in expediting court cases involving crimes against its members.

APAM President Ian Simbota notes that though there is significant progress being made, there is a need to find why some cases have stalled.

Simbota’s remarks follow a recent court ruling which saw four people being sentenced to life imprisonment.

Four others were handed the death sentence for the murder of a woman with albinism in 2016.
