Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has disclosed another plan in a quest to force Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) chairperson Jane Ansah out of office for allegedly mismanaging May 21 tripartite elections.

The disclosure was made by HRDC vice chairperson Gift Trapence in Mzuzu during a citizen rally yesterday.

In his words Trapence said the coalition will close MEC offices as one way of forcing Ansah to step down for betraying Malawians in the May 21 polls.

HRDC has been organizing demonstrations across the country calling for Ansah’s resignation which has proved ,futile as the incumbent MEC chair has remained adamant from adhering to HRDC demands.
