Malawian Airlines workers are expected to start striking today to force the airline to increase their salaries.
According to the workers, the decision to hold the industrial action has been taken because of failure to resolve the issue during conciliation meetings.
However, following their notice to withdraw labour, Malawian Airlines obtained an injunction stopping the strike but the workers through their lawyer Wapona Kita have managed to vacate the injunction.
But, the mother body of workers, MCTU through its secretary general Dennis Kalilombe has faulted government for obtaining court injunctions to restrain workers from holding strikes.
