Information reaching Faceofmalawi indicates irate business people in Karonga have set ablaze a police shelter at Rukuru roadblock.
The irate business players angry with Malawi Revenue Authority –MRA’s failure to respond to their grievances put forward 2 weeks ago.
Police officers manning the checkpoint have since been chased away by the angry protestors.
Two weeks ago, business players held marched to MRA offices in Mzuzu where they presented a petition.
Among the complaints, business players asked MRA to reduce some checkpoints in Karonga.
