After 8 months when one of president Peter Mutharika press officer Sylvester Namiwa resigned from his post, Face of Malawi can reveal that Namiwa is chairing a new organization Centre for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative (CDEDI)
Namiwa after resigning from his post citing that personal reasons intrigued him to step out from office, he called on Malawians to pray for the country ahead of the May 21 elections.
As the country is waiting on the ruling of the historic presidential election polls case Namiwa’s CDEDI has called on political leaders and Malawians to main peace and coexistence.
The call has been made at a press briefing in Lilongwe which was chaired by Namiwa.
Namiwa, called on the President, Lazarus Chakwera- Leader of Malawi Congress Party and United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Dr. Saulos Chilima, to come together and denounce politically sponsored violence.
The organisation says it plans to organised a National Unity Mass Rally for the three leaders.
