Lighting kills 17 year old girl in Chikwawa

One person is reported dead while two others are battling for their lives at Chikwawa District Hospital after being struck by lightning.
Traditional authority Maseya confirmed of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS), saying the incident happened on Tuesday.
According to Chief Maseya, the three met their fate while seeking refuge under a tree during a heavy downpour.
He said the girl was pronounced dead upon arrival at Chikwawa district hospital.
The incident is said to have happened in the the area of Chief Maseya in Chikwawa.
