United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi returned home on Saturday from China where he was visiting scholar at Peking University.

Muluzi was out of the country for three months and the party was being headed by Liliani Patel, who is also leader of the party in Parliament.

Former Minister of Health and Population Atupele Muluzi arrived in the country through Kamuzu International Airport and was welcomed by some party top officials.

Speaking to party followers after landing at KIA, Muluzi promised to revamp the party from grass loot.

Muluzi and his party performed badly in the May 21, tripartite election which saw President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika being declared winner.

The UDF President also lost his parliamentary seat.
