A 46-year-old man is in police custody in Nkhotakota for allegedly defiling a four-year-old girl in the district.
The suspect identified as Nyamayagwadala Gumbo apparently defiled the child when he went to her home with intent to drink beer two weeks ago.
According to Nkhotakota police publicist Williams Kaponda, Gumbo enticed the girl with Kamba Puffs.
He is expected to appear before the court of law soon to answer a charge of defilement.
