Lilongwe – Yesterday, 20th December, 2019 marked the end of first term of primary school as Student-teachers awaiting posting also waved goodbye to schools they were sent to practice.

Lilongwe SOS HG Primary school universe(PTA & Pupils) waved goodbye to the student-teachers in style by supplying them with commodities like matress and cooking pots.

Speaking on the closing ceremony, the school’s headteacher Ephraim Chinyama
praised the efforts of student-teachers saying that they are hardworking and pupils have benefitted a lot from their efforts.

“These teachers are hardworking, and we though it is a good thing to help them as they are on to their next tenure,” said Chinyama.

Chairman of the Student-teachers at the school, Dereck Mwenda thanked the school and parents who raised funds to support him and his fellows.

“This is a good gesture. On behalf of my friends, I’m very grateful. Show the same love to others to come,” said Mwenda

Mrs Ndalema, another student-teacher showered praise to the school’s universe for the gesture saying she will no longer be struggling to rest since she only had a small mattress and could not manage afford a bigger one.

“Now I’ll be sleeping on a good and comfortable mattress. Other schools should show the same gesture to our us.

The allowances we get are not enough to satisfy our needs. With this kind of help, we’ll be doings things with good spirits,” said a Ndalema.

SOS HG Primary School is located in Area 22A opposite Lutheran Bible Institute in Lilongwe.
