The Constitutional Court hearing the historic presidential case in Lilongwe has dismissed reports circulating on social media that the court is set to deliver it’s ruling on January 20, 2020.

The Judiciary publicist Agnes Patemba confirmed.

In the past days social media was awash with reports that the Constitutional Court will make it’s ruling on the given day citing that Patemba confirmed development.

In her remarks, Patemba said that it is not true that the court has set January 20 for the elections case determination.

She further advises people to disregard the information circulating on social media.

Malawians are eagerly awaiting the ruling, with expectation that it will be made early next month.

This is the case in which the Malawi Congress Party and the UTM are seeking nullification of the May 21 presidential election results.

The two parties believe the polls were rigged by altering results sheets with tippex.
