Legendary South African Musician Yvonne Chaka Chaka was deported in Uganda for lack of a work visa.
Ugandan police spokesperson Fred Enanga confirmed the development saying Chaka Chaka had only an ordinary visa.
“This is to inform the public that a security task team, in close coordination with immigration officials, this afternoon escorted Ms Mhinga Yvonne, popularly known as Chaka Chaka, to Entebbe International Airport, where she boarded her next immediate flight to South Africa, via Kigali,” he said.
Mr Enanga said immigration officials cancelled Chaka Chaka’s ordinary visa after realizing she traveled to perform at New Year events.
