Immigration Department suspends passport application

The Immigration Department has suspended all applications for new passports from today to pave way for the migration of machine-readable passports to the e-passport.

Immigration Department Public Relations Officer Joseph Chauwa confirmed of the development in a statement dated January 7 2020 made available to Faceofmalawi reporter.

According to Chauwa, the Department will resume receiving new applications Tuesday next week.
