A man from West African Tribe in Ghana has amazed his people after he returned to Canada to resume his job as a gardener immediately after he was crowned as a king in order to raise money for his subjects.

The man Eric Manu, stayed in Canada for three years and returned to his home village in order to take his birth right following the death of his 67 year old uncle who was holding the kingship position for his tribe.

After his coronation, Manu decided to return to his work place with his wife and son in order to raise funds to support his subjects.

He said: “It’s a huge experience. You have to embrace it with passion.

The money Manu hopes to raise from his several month stay in Canada will be invested in improving healthcare, with the aim of returning with another shipment of equipment.

Ms Watson added: “The whole village was quite poor.

“The clinic only has a midwife and few nurses. There is no doctor on site.”
