Gunmen in Nigeria have abducted four students after they attacked a seminary school in Abuja.

Daily Trust reports that the registrar of the Good Shepherd Catholic Major Seminary, Rev Fr (Dr) Joel Usman, said that the gunmen launched an attack on the premises of the seminary at about 10.30 pm on Wednesday, January 8.

According to Usman, the attack by the gunmen at the seminary’s premises lasted for about 30 minutes.

Usman said: “Good Shepherd Major Seminary was attacked by armed bandits yesterday January 8, 2020 between 10.30 and 11.00 pm.”

“After headcount of students with security agents, four Seminarians have been declared missing. Kindly say a prayer for their release,” Usman said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the police in Lagos had arrested a suspected gunrunner at the Mafoluku area of Oshodi in Lagos state.

The 32-year-old Samuel Uche was said to have been arrested by Police officers attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos.

Uche was arrested on his way to sell two automatic revolver pistols to a notorious kidnapping and armed robbery gang.
