Information sourced by Faceofmalawi indicates that Malawi and other countries will today January 10 2020 experience the eclipse of the moon [also known as lunar eclipse].
According to information at hand, this will happen from around 19:07 hours and phase out at 23:12 hours.
Ministry of Natural Resources, Energy and Mining has confirmed of the development in a statement made available to FOM’s reporter.
“On Friday, January 10, 2020 we are having penumbral lunar eclipse. The penumbral Eclipse will begin at 19:07 hours when the Earth’s penumbra start touching the moon’s face. The eclipse with reach its maximum at 21:10 hours and end at 23: 12 hours,” reads in part the statement.
Lunar eclipse is the time when the earth blocks the light of the sun from reaching the moon. This happens due to the earth slipping directly between the sun and the moon, blocking the sun’s light and casting an orange-red shadow on the moon.
