Concerned business people in the Northern Region have asked government to develop the region.

This was said when four government ministers engaged the concerned business people with the aim of addressing their concerns.

Minister for Lands Vuwa Kaunda, Mark Botoman for Information, Jappie Mhango for Health and Ralph Jooma for Transport , Inkosi ya Makosi Mbelwa, Paramount Chief Kyungu and Senior Chief Kameme attended the meeting.

The concerned business people have been accusing the revenue collector MRA of corruption.

The group has also been accusing government of failing to develop the Northern Region despite MRA collecting a lot of revenue from the region.

According to Aram Beza -vice chairperson of the concerned business people said the group wants government to construct good roads and bridges in the country.

Beza has also proposed to government to consolidate Malawi Revenue Authority and Malawi Police roadblocks in an effort to ease challenges that business people face.
