Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has given the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) Director General Reyneck Matemba a seven-day grace period to name and arrest the suspects that tried to bribe the Judges presiding over the presidential election case.
HRDC Chairperson Timothy Mtambo said this during a media briefing held in the capital Lilongwe on Wednesday.
According to Mtambo, the grouping will be left with no choice but to mobilize Malawians and shutdown the bureau’ offices once Matemba fail to honour the ultimatum.
The grouping has since asked Matemba to resign for failing his duties.
ACB Director General Reyneck Matemba insists that disclosing the names now will jeorpadise their investigations.
