Malawi Posts Corporation (MPC) has extended suspension of operation of its newly procured buses on the country’s roads.

Earlier this week, MPC suspended operations of its services do to back to back accidents with the latest being which happened at Senzani in Ntcheu, injuring two women.

The buses were scheduled to resume its services today but the statutory body has extended the suspension.

“In our bid to deploy the safest Bus, Post Bus would like to announce an extension of its service suspension.

“The decision to extend the suspension has been made to allow us implement all the recommendations made by our safety assessors,” reads in part the statement.

Meanwhile it is not known as to when the buses will resume its services of the roads of Malawi.
