Mbakuwaku Movement for Development (MMD) President Peter Kuwani has called on Political leaders to put the national interest and not on their own as the country awaits for court ruling of the presidential elections case.

Kuwani made the call n Blantyre when he was addressing members of the press.

Kuwani ho asked other political parties to accept and embrace court verdict, said he is ready to do the same.

According to Kuwani Despite that he did not go to court to file complaint on the presidential election results, he stood with those who made the complaint.

“Our party did not go to court because we support the case that the petitioners took to court” Kuwani said.

He added that his party has always supported the petitioners of the presidential elections.

United Transformation Movement (UTM) President Saulos Chilima and Malawi Congress Party (MCP) leader Lazarus Chakwera, are challenging the presidency of Peter Mutharika a Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) leader in court.

The Constitutional Court presiding over the case is expected to deliver its ruling on Monday, February 3, 2020.
