Head of panel of five judges presiding over the presidential elections case Justice Healey Potani has started delivering presidential elections case ruling in Lilongwe.

According to Justice Potani, the judgment is about 500 pages, and the entire judgment will be ready by 4pm on Tuesday.

Potani said during the pronouncement, there will be short breaks because the verdict was “quite long”

Potani: “This is the first case contesting presidential Elections that has undergone full trial,”

He cites the 1999 case in which petitioner the late Gwanda Chakuamba had his case meet the challenge in describing what majority of voters meant.
