One Mary Nzyuka from Makueni County is fortunate to have a daughter, Candy Joy, who has blue eyes.
According to Mary, her daughter’s eyes started turning blue when she was six-months-old. She sought help from an eye specialist after noticing the colour change.
Mary took Candy to Lyons Hospital only to be told that her daughter had no medical condition. The opticians concluded that her eyes were pigmented to be blue and everyone has a different pigment for their iris.
Candy has since been receiving daily compliments on her unique eyes. Her mother, however, worries that people might want to steal her.
Candy’s blue eyes have also brought about tensions in the family as the father suspected that the daughter was not his. This was in addition to the fact that neither Mary’s family nor his husband’s family has a history of such unique eyes.
