A 44 year -old man in Ntcheu on Sunday committed suicide after picking a quarrel with his wife for alleged disobedience.
The man, Chimwemwe Patsanja, hanged himself in a Mango tree along Phoko Stream at Mingola Village in Traditional Authority Kwataine in the district.

“On February 1, 2020, around 08:00 hours, Patsanja left his family for his home at Chimalizeni Village in the same area due to misunderstandings.
“His wife later followed him and the issues were settled by relatives before the couple started off for Ntcheu Boma where they live.
“On their way back, misunderstandings rose again which made the deceased to return to his home village,” said Chigalu.
The police publicist further explained that the deceased met his sister and told her that he would be going away to his own world after which he was found on Sunday morning hanging in a Mango tree.
Postmortem conducted at Ntcheu District Hospital established that death was due to suffocation.
