As hunger continues to torment many Malawians in most districts of the country with many sleeping on an empty stomach, Prophet Shepherd Bushiri of Enlighten Christian Gathering (ECG) Church will today launch sale of cheap maize in Malawi.
The launch will be beamed live on Times Television, Zodiak Broadcasting Station Tv and Rainbow Television from 1:30pm.
Bushiri’s Public Relations Director Ephraim Nyondo confirmed of the launch in poster posted on his official facebook page seen by Faceofmalawi reporter.
The past two years, Bushiri also came in to rescue Malawians affected by hunger where he distributed free maize across the country.
But the move received a backlash from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) supporters, arguing that it was campaign gimmick.
Bushiri trashed this on several occasions, saying he has no intention to contest for Presidency post in the country.
