The constitutional court will deliver its determination on the applications for stay order by President Peter Mutharika and the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) at 4pm.

On Friday last week, Mutharika and MEC filed for an appeal on the constitutional court ruling nullifying the May 21 polls.

The two parties also filed for stay order stopping execution of the Constitutional Court ruling and the court set today (Wednesday) as the day for interparty hearing.

All parties involved in the case including friends of the court this morning presented the submissions before the panel of five Judges namely Healey Potani, Justice Mike Tembo, Ivy Kamanga, Redson Kapindu and Dingiswayo Madise.

The case has since been adjourned to 4pm.
