The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has demanded an investigation to five constitutional court Judges who nullified the May 21, 2019 Presidential polls, accusing them of being biased.

DPP cadets on Monday held a peaceful march from its headquarters in Sunnyside to Blantyre City Council where they delivered a petition.

Leading out the petition, Henry Mussa said the party is not satisfied with how the constitution court managed the presidential elections petition case.

He said the party demand a panel of 5 judges that nullified the 2019 elections to be investigated to remove any perception that it is either sympathisers of opposition politics or that it worked and succumbed to pressure from violent demos.

“Madise should have recussed himself because of the potential conflict of interest because of his relations to Saulos Chilima”, said Mussa.

Meanwhile Blantyre City Council Chief Excutive Officer has promised to deliver the petition to Chief Justice Andrew Nyirenda.
