India – A constable working with the Punjab Police allegedly murdered his wife and three relatives in Saidpur Jalal on Sunday morning.

The accused used his service weapon, an AK-47 rifle for attacking his kin. He has been identified as Kulwinder Singh.

Singh attacked his wife Rajwinder Kaur, mother-in-law Sukhwinder Kaur, brother-in-law Jaskaran Singh, sister-in-law Inderjit Kaur, his son, father-in-law, brother-in-law and 10-year-old niece.

The 10-year-old girl is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Moga. Rajwinder, Jaskaran, Sukhwinder and Inderjit died in the incident.

After the incident, Kulwinder Singh surrendered before the police. He has been arrested and is being interrogated for further leads.

He had been posted in the tear gas squad and an AK-47 rifle had been provided to him as his service weapon.

The accused had also started a pig farm on the land owned by his in-laws. He was allegedly having a dispute with his wife’s family over the accounts of the pig farm business.

It is being alleged that the dispute was the reason behind Kulwinder’s agony.
