Police in Thyolo have arrested a 40 year old man for allegedly stealing 24 bags of Macadamia nuts worth about K25.5 million.
Spokesperson for Thyolo police Amos Tione confirmed the arrest of Jeffrey Tebulo on suspicion that he stole from Nchima Estate.
According to Tione, Tebulo was keeping the Macadamia nuts at his house after stealing them from the estate.
Tione said Tebulo was later apprehended after thorough investigations.
The suspect will appear before court to answer theft charges which is contrary to section 278 of the penal code.
