The state vice president Saulos Chilima has said he is still waiting for the delegation by the president to start performing his duties.
Chilima said this with one media house yesterday during an exclusive interview.
During the interview Chilima also revealed that he has not spoken to President Peter Mutharika after the Constitutional Court reinstated him as the country’s vice president.
However, the United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader said he is extremely ready to work if given direction on what to do.
“I am yet to get direction on what I should do, when to return to the office. I am ready to work,” said Chilima.
He added that he is yet to receive response on his request to be given his benefits as the country’s vice president through his lawyers.
“We are still waiting for response on our request through our lawyers,” he said.
Responding on whether he will receive his salary over a work he did not do, Chilima said he will receive but will donate it because “I am not working for it”
