United Transformation Movement (UTM) president Saulos Chilima has pleaded with supporters to accept the outcome of electoral alliance with Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
Chilima made the plea yesterday in Mzuzu during a political rally.
This was his second rally the first being at Masintha in Lilongwe after the court nullified the 2019 presidential election results and ordered a fresh election.
Confirming of the alliance talks, Chilima tell his supports who graced the rally to accept the decision coming out of talks should be accepted.
After nullification of May 21, 2019 presidential polls, court ordered that the winner must scoop 51+1 of the majority votes, which forced political parties to merge into alliances.
Few days ago, MCP released a press release confirming to engage UTM into alliance talks ahead of the fresh presidential polls.
Last week, Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) and United Democratic Front (UDF) announced of their electoral alliance.
