Management of The Polytechnic has shelved a decision to expel five students implicated in wild protests last year.
The postponement follows a meeting between the Polytechnic Students Union and the University Office in Zomba.
Apart from the expelled five, 18 other students received varying degrees of suspensions following the November 26 demonstrations over security fears which ended with one male hostels catching fire.
Following the development, all 23 students will be allowed to continue with lessons as the college management’s earlier decision is being reconsidered.
