First Lady Gertrude Mutharika today attended the World Day of Prayer at College of Medicine Sports Complex in Blantyre.
The event was graced by thousands of women from different religious bodies who assembled to celebrate this important event.
The theme for this year’s event was “Rise! Take Your Mat and Walk.”
The First Lady delivered the official address at the ceremony, which was attended by different delegates across Malawi.
Among the top women leaders who attended the event include Mary Navicha, Gender, Children, Disability and Social Welfare Minister and other officials.
