Government has said it will not repatriate Malawian citizens living in China and other coronavirus affected countries.

This has been said by minister responsible for Foreign Affairs Francis Kasaila.

There have been calls from some sectors of society urging authorities to bring back their relations who are currently stranded in China.

So far, Malawi has registered zero cases of the deadly virus and none of its citizens in the affected countries including China has tested positive.

Kasaila stressed that Capital Hill is sticking to its earlier decision to maintain Malawian nationals abroad.
