Mumbai – A 17-year-old girl, who was secretly spending time with her boyfriend in her house, allegedly jumped off from her first floor flat in Kurla and fractured her leg after her mother walked in on them on Friday afternoon.
The incident took place within the limits of VB Nagar Police Station in the Bail Bazaar area of the suburb. The minor girl’s family approached the police and registered a complaint against her boyfriend, identified as Sunil Zhende (20).
The police booked him for rape and house trespass under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and arrested him.
According to a police official, the minor girl and her boyfriend were secretly spending time in the girl’s bedroom. After some time, the girl noticed that her mother had arrived.
She immediately asked her boyfriend to escape and then jumped out of the window, reported the news agency PTI. On landing, the girl fractured her left leg.
Later she made a confession before her family that she and her boyfriend were in her bedroom and she got panicked after her mother arrived.
