Mtambo Locked Up at Area 3 Police in Lilongwe

Chairperson for Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) Timothy Mtambo has finally being locked up at area 3 police station in Lilongwe after he handed himself over.
Lawyer for HRDC Khwima Mchizi confirmed.
According to Mchizi, Mtambo might spend a night in police cell or not depending on the statement and they will wait until tomorrow for the charges leveled against him
Before handling himself over to police this afternoon there were running battles between the people and police the situation prompted men in uniform o use teargas to disperse the crowd.
After cooling down from teargas, Mtambo addressed members of the press where he said they were fighting for justice and insisted that they will go to State House on March 25 2020.
