Government through the Ministry of Health, has purchased COVID-19 testing equipment with the help from World Heath Organization (WHO).
The Minister of health Jappie Mhango, said the equipment will help to get the test results fast.
“The equipment will help Malawi get results faster than is the case right now when we get results after 48 hours as the tests are done in the South Africa,” he said.
He added that the equipment will become ready for use next month after the training of personnel to run it.
He concluded by saying that currently, Malawi has not registered any case of Corona virus.
