Minister of Trade Salim Bagus has asked Malawians to stop depending on betting as a source of income.
The Minister Said this after he visited Premier Bet and several casinos and companies in Blantyre to appreciate how they run their businesses.
He continued by saying that betting has a potential of making someone poor, although others win jackpots.
He said people need to play betting games with caution and embrace a saving culture.
This was part of his familiarization tours the minister has been making across the country.
